چکیده

We numerically solve the transport equations for a quark gas described by the the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model. The mean field equations of motion, which consist of the Vlasov equation for the density and the gap equation for the mean field, are discussed, and energy and momentum conservation are proven. Numerical solutions of the partial differential equations are obtained by applying finite difference methods. For an expanding fireball of the light quark mass evolves from small values initially to the value of 350 MeV. This leads to a depletion of the high energy part of the quark spectrum and an enhancement at low momenta. When collisions are included one obtains an equation of the Boltzmann type, where the transition amplitudes depend on the properties of the medium. These equations are given for flavor SU(3), i. e. including strangeness. They are solved numerically in the relaxation time approximation and the time evolution of various observables is given. Medium effects in the relaxtion times do not significantly influence the shape of the spectra. The mass of the strange quark changes little during the expansion. The strangeness yield and the slope temperatures of the final spectra are studied as a function of the size of the initial fireball. PACS numbers: 25.75.-q, 12.38.Mh, 12.39.Fe, 52.25.Dg

Fluid dynamical description of the chiral transition ∗

We investigate the dynamics of the chiral transition in an expanding quark-antiquark plasma. The calculations are made within a linear σ-model with explicit quark and antiquark degrees of freedom. We solve numerically the classical equations of motion for chiral fields coupled to the fluid dynamical equations for the plasma. Fast initial growth and strong oscillations of the chiral field and st...

Diquarks may play an important role in hadronic physics particularly near the phase transitions (chiral, deconfinement points). By using vector diquark ideas in the chiral limit diquark correlations in the relativistic region and imposing HF interactions between quarks in a vector diquark, we calculate the mass of Theta pentaquark state. Also by using the tunnelling method we simultaneously c...

The Deconfinement Transition in Su (4) Lattice Gauge Theory

The nature of the phase transition(s) to QuarkGluon Plasma, which we hope to see in the experiments of RHIC and later of LHC, and the physics driving it, have always been of great interest. While the real world has presumably two very light (u,d) flavours of quarks and one somewhat heavier (s) flavour, both analytical and numerical methods in lattice QCD begin from the limiting cases of either ...

Finite temperature transitions in lattice QCD with Wilson quarks: Chiral transitions and the influence of the strange quark.

The nature of finite temperature transitions in lattice QCD with Wilson quarks is studied near the chiral limit for the cases of 2, 3, and 6 flavors of degenerate quarks (N F = 2, 3, and 6) and also for the case of massless up and down quarks and a light strange quark (N F = 2+1). Our simulations mainly performed on lattices with the temporal direction extension N t = 4 indicate that the finite...

Dynamics of the chiral phase transition in the (2+ 1)-dimensional Gross–Neveu model

The phase diagram of the Gross–Neveu (GN) model in 2+ 1 dimensions as a function of chemical potential and temperature has a simple curve separating the broken symmetry and unbroken symmetry phases, with chiral symmetry being restored both at high temperature and high density. We study, in leading order in the 1/N expansion, the dynamics of the chiral phase transition for an expanding plasma of...
